Apple cider vinegar!

Over the centuries, apple cider vinegar has been used for many purposes such as cooking and polishing armors. It has been used to cure so many ailments though not scientifically proven, people who have used it can testify. I too can testify because I use it too.

What is apple cider vinegar?

Vinegar is a product of fermentation. This is a process in which sugars in a food are broken down by bacteria and yeast. In the first stage of fermentation, the sugars are turned into alcohol. Then, if the alcohol ferments further, you get vinegar. The word comes from the French, meaning "sour wine." While vinegar can be made from all sorts of things -- like many fruits, vegetables, and grains -- apple cider vinegar comes from pulverized apples. The main ingredient of apple cider vinegar, or any vinegar, is acetic acid. However, vinegars also have other acids, vitamins, mineral salts, and amino acids.
I bet you are wondering what the use of all this is to you. Chill, I’ll tell you.
Benefits of apple cider vinegar

1.       It can make your hair shine.
Apple cider vinegar can be used as a rinse for your hair after shampooing, and will boost your hair's body and shine. I recommend recycling an old shampoo bottle, then filling it with 1/2 a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and a cup of cold water. Pour the solution through your hair after shampooing several times a week for dramatic results

2.      It regulates the ph of your skin.
Dilute ACV with two parts water, and spread the concoction over your face with a cotton ball to replace your current toner. You can do this at night after washing, and in the morning before you apply your moisturizer. A dab of apple cider vinegar can also be left on the skin overnight to fade age spots or acne scars. It can also remove rash and acne.

3.      It can remove stains from your teeth
Rub teeth directly with apple cider vinegar, and rinse with water.

4.      It can soothe sunburnt skin
Add a cup of apple cider vinegar to your bath, and soak for 10 minutes to eliminate discomfort from sunburn.

5.      It can aid in weight loss.
For daily weight management, add 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to 16 ounces of water. This concoction can be sipped throughout the day. Data shows some limited, yet significant, weight loss benefits from sustained daily intake of acetic acid (which is a main ingredient in apple cider vinegar).

Lately, apple cider vinegar has been my obsession. I use it daily and its working really well for me, you should try it too. I bought mine at shoprite, but I'm sure it can be found in any other big supermarket.

A Glow in the dark

GARY.

He woke up that morning so scared, his heart was racing, his palms were sweaty and he had beads of sweat on his forehead. The shirt he wore to bed was soaked in sweat. One would wonder what kind of dream could have this much effect on a person. For several nights Gary had been having the same dream. He saw himself standing at the beginning of a dark tunnel; he would look around for a while and suddenly see a glow at the end of the tunnel. Soon strange figures run towards him, he tries to run as fast as he can and then he wakes up. He sat on his bed thinking, trying to figure out and interpret his dream. That only confused him more. He contemplated on saying a prayer that morning, but decided not to. He had drawn far away from God and wasn’t even sure if God was still with him; so a prayer then would have been useless.
Gary had the perfect life, the kind of life every guy dreamed off. A good job, steady income, good looks, a big house, luxurious cars and just about everything. He was one of those bachelors every girl wanted. He looked so perfect in the eyes of others but he knew his life was not close to perfect. That empty feeling was always nearby. He felt as though his life was empty. That void within him, he longed to fill it up but he just didn’t know how.

CLARA.
Living in a different city, far away from Gary was Clara. She was a simple girl, one couldn’t tell by just looking at her that she was from a very wealthy home. She drove a very simple car and dressed like every other person. She had everything she wanted but it wasn’t enough. She wanted more than just riches, she wanted to explore, help humanity, and become a hero. That passion drove her to be a doctor. She was like Gary but a little different. Clara knew what she wanted but Gary was lost. He knew he had to do something but just didn’t know what.
She had been having the same dream at night, but in her dream when the strange figures run towards her, she’s not scared instead she keeps on walking and they just run past her. But just before she gets close to the glow she wakes up.
That morning when she woke up, she saw her dream as a wakeup call to do something and she decided to join The Doctors without Borders. She wondered what her parents would think if they found out, knowing fully well that they won’t support the idea, but she was hell bent on going through with her idea.

GARY
Work was just pretty much the same thing, same routine for years for Gary. The void was getting bigger in his heart and he longed to fill it up. His secretary dropped a letter for him. It was an invitation to join The Doctors without Borders; apparently they needed a manager for one of their offices in Keriola. He thought it was funny, maybe someone was just joking around. He called the number on the letter and it turned out to be real.
That night, he slept off while thinking of the offer. He had the same dream again, this time he faced his fear and didn’t run. He walked towards the glow, the light was so bright, and he thought he was going blind. A sudden chill came over him, leaving goose bumps all over his skin. He closed his eyes for a while trying to adjust to the new change. When he finally opened his eyes, he was speechless. It was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. He saw a feminine figure wrapped in white linen which flowed to the floor. He couldn’t see her feet but he knew it was so beautiful. Her face was hidden because the glow that emanated from her face was very bright. Her lips were moving as though she was talking but there was no sound. He moved forward to touch her, seeing the smile on her face he woke up.
That morning was perfect; he left instructions at his office and headed to keriola.

CLARA.
Her parents didn’t like the idea of their daughter running off to one island just to save lives, but there was little they could do to stop her. She hung out with her family and left the next day for Keriola.

GARY, CLARA.
He settled in fine, tried to get used to the place. It wasn’t that bad for him, he felt he was filling the void so that made him happy. That morning he went to the cafeteria to eat when he bumped into Clara. She was wearing a white tank top; jeans short a pair of pink slippers. She was holding her box. While trying to apologize he looked straight into her eyes and he felt something in his heart that he had never felt before. He was in love with her; it was love at first sight. All he could do was just smile; she thought he acted weird because of the unnecessary smiling.

CLARA.
Lying on her tiny wooden bed with a worn out mattress, not what she was used to but she felt good. Her mind drifted back to the incident with the guy in the cafeteria. She didn’t know why she was thinking about him, but he was just in her head. She wanted to scream his name, just then she realized she didn’t ask for his name. She went to bed so excited about her new job. In the morning, she was going to be the doctor in the little island of Keriola.
Turning from side to side on her bed, she mumbled some words and woke up. It was the same dream again, she was so worried that she couldn’t go back to sleep again. She took a walk to calm herself.

GARY, CLARA.
He was having a bad time sleeping, so he decided to take a walk. He saw her again; she stood there leaning on a tree looking so beautiful. He walked up to her and they talked. She got to know his name, he knew hers too and there was this connection. She had this tight knot in her tummy. It was love; she was in love with him too. Sitting on the grass enjoying the moonlight, they talked on and on and didn’t realize they slept off on each other’s arms till the next morning.

A glow in the dark brought them together, but is that all?

Broke girls guide to a flawless face.

Are you that girl that can’t afford all those high quality beauty products? I have here the solution to your problems. I’m going to introduce you to tips to get the same or even better results than those beauty products the natural way.  Bringing you homemade recipes, the ingredients are so easy to get.

A)    There will be so many cracked and parched lips this season. A mixture of honey, brown sugar and olive oil is all you need to have healthy and soft lips.

B)    To have a good look on the outside, the inside has to be good first. Did you know that drinking water makes your skin glow? Adding lemon or lime to your water even makes it better. Do you want to know the benefits of drinking lime or lemon water? Here it is.

C)    Exfoliate your face!!! This is very important; our skin absorbs dust and dirt. To have the glow, you need to remove all those dirt and the layer of dry skin; this can be done by exfoliating. All you need is oatmeal, honey and olive oil. Ensure to do a hot compress before applying the mask.

D)    Do you have pimples or black heads you want to get rid of? Try this.
-          Take one egg and separate the yolk from the white, discard the yolk. Beat the egg, whisk it until the white is frothy and has bubbles
-          Wash your face; clean it with a gentle facial cleanser.
-          Apply the egg white with your hand or a foundation brush
-          Wait 10-20 minutes until the egg white has dried. You can tell if the mask has dried by either touching your face, or checking if your face is tight.
-          Rinse with lukewarm water. Rinse your face, and then splash cold water against it to shrink the pores.
-          Pat with a dry towel
-          Apply your facial moisturizer.
This will dry your pimples really fast.
E)     You could get rid of your blackheads in 5 minutes. Half lemon and 3-4 drops of honey. Rub the lemon on your face, emphasize the blackhead prone areas like nose, chin etc. leave the lemon and honey mixture on your face for 5 minutes, and then wash it with cold water. You will see the results immediately. Additionally, lemon juice will also fade other marks/spots on the face and honey will moisturize.
